Jimmy Janes is originally from Staten Island, New York, and is a graduate of the High School of Art & Design. Jim worked in advertising and publishing until he tapped into comic books by drawing such well-known titles as Spider-man, The Legion of Super-heros, The Rook, Vampirella, Moonknight, as well as many Adventure, horror and romance series. In 1985, Marvel Animation made Jim an offer he couldn't refuse. He then moved to California to design and create storyboards for such shows as X-Men, Spider-man, Batman, Voltron, Fantastic Four, Ninja Turtles and many more. Jim believes that in order to be a good artist, it is necessary to be able to act and write as well. He was offered one of the lead roles in the movie feature "Tomcat Angels", which is not awaiting release. Music is also a big part of Jim's life. He sang with the Illusions on the New York & Jersey night club circuit. Jim likes keeping busy. |
